One of the panel of our birth mothers shares the fact that she knows that her son came through her to his family for a reason. She needed the experience of maternal love to turn her life around. She came to know God, to know what love really is, to experience sacrifice in order for her life to become what it now is. This birth mother, and others on the panel, knows that her adoption experience—though incredibly painful—was a gift to her. Some of our birth mothers share their plethora of feelings including anger, guilt, gratitude, love, pain, and joy. Truly, their lives have been changed forever through the gift of adoption.
