After waiting for an adoption match with our agency for 7 months, we activated a profile on Parentprofiles.com.  Within a few days, an expectant mother contacted us.  Nothing resulted from it, but we felt hope knowing that people were actually seeing our profile.

Over the next eight months, 15 expectant mothers contacted us, which resulted in a few “false starts” and finally our son’s birth mother.  She was 3 months pregnant and acted very mature, reading every profile on the website.  From there, she e-mailed 11 couples that fit her criteria. She asked follow-up questions and continued to narrow down the couples over the next month until she finally chose us.  We were thrilled!

By then, she had contacted the same agency we were using in her home state and had already met with a case worker.  We knew she was serious, and once we were officially matched, we maintained a great relationship through texting and e-mail. I even flew from Idaho to New York where she lived to meet her and her family a few months before her baby was due.  We were present when our son was born, and everything went so smoothly.  It would not have happened without Adoption.com Parent Profiles!
