In 1992, at 18 years old, George and Rosie Molina were married and began their journey into both life and ministry together. George had the calling to be a pastor, and Rosie was by his side as he left home to attend Bible college. They then returned to their hometown in Texas and began their ministry.

When they were 21 years old, George and Rosie decided to start having children. After years of trying and being unable to conceive, they decided if they were unable to have children by the time they were 30 years old, they would look into adoption.

In 2000, George and Rosie left their home in Texas to follow God’s calling for them in Goodyear, AZ. They started their very own church in a local school and have since then planted their current church, LifeWay, in Buckeye, AZ.

One day, while hiking at the Grand Canyon, Rosie felt ill. Rosie had always been in great shape, so it was odd that a hike would make her feel fatigued. To their surprise, they found out Rosie was pregnant! After a move to Arizona, 10 years of marriage, 8 years of trying, lots of prayer, and faith, in 2001, George and Rosie welcomed their first child, a daughter who they named Faith. And that is exactly what they had, FAITH. Faith that God would bless them with a child. After Faith, they were blessed with two more children, a boy, Jared, and another girl, Georgeanne.

Adoption never left their hearts, but they told each other that if it were God’s will for them to adopt, then the opportunity would present itself to them. They agreed to not seek it out, but leave it in God’s hands.

Three years after the birth of their last child, Georgeanne, the opportunity to adopt literally came knocking at their door. A family friend and member of their church asked them if they were interested in adopting the child of a struggling young mother who was looking to find her unborn baby a home. They met with the mother and agreed to be the adoptive parents of her then-unborn child. On October 29th, 2010 their son Micah was born. They were there during the delivery and took him home with them. Micah was immediately brought into their family and became their child!

God had his hand in it all. Not only did George and Rosie’s faith that God would provide them with their hearts’ desires of having children, he also gave this little boy, Micah, a life that he would not have without them.

George shares their adoption story every once in awhile at church. He compares how they adopted Micah into their family to how, you are adopted into the kingdom of God when you come to know Jesus, and no one can take that away from you. Micah will always be a part of the Molina family as a son and brother!
