A Springtime Wish
I’m going to make a wish today. I know that spring is here & the sun is shining. My wish is for his mom to pick a flower& hold it up to his nose so he can smell what God has made for us to enjoy. I wish that dad will take him to his favorite icecream shop so he can taste his first taste of chocholate. I wish that mom will sit him in the grass his big yard so he can feel mother earth & see how beautiful the color green can be. I wish that big brother will hand him a shovel & teach him how to dig in his sand box.
I wish that there will be many strolls to Grandmas house so he can feel the warmth of the sun on his chubby cheeks. I wish that Grandpa will play with him in their pool & bounce him up & down in the water to make him giggle. I wish that he will get to see a butterfly land nearby & mom will let him help plant seeds for their garden. I wish that she will add some pretty flowers so that he can look at them & understand that there are beautiful colors wich only God could create. I wish & know that he will have a wonderful first spring so full of everything that every child deserves. Thank you to my birth sons parents.Thank you to every person on these adoption boards. You all have been such a great help.
When your precious child comes to you will you plant a patch of flowers & every so often pick one for him to touch & smell? When he does, can you think of us birth mothers? Happy spring time to you all. (I wrote this on March 23, 2000. It’s really not a poem but still from the heart.) © Unknown
It’s for my 5 month old birth son.
There’s so many things to do,
so many things for his new eyes to see.
