This is a very different story about love that passes through generations. Keith McAfee was officially adopted at 32 (although adopted much sooner unofficially). He has an incredible story of finding “a safe place, a refuge” in the McAfee family. He explains how happy he is to share his parents’ name. He is proud that his wife and children also share this name.
And then he became an adoptive parent. One day while at a conference, he and his family felt called to adopt. They brought sweet Claire into the mix. He shares that although she has special needs, she is definitely a part of their family and meant to be included in their last name as well.
