Adoption is a gift – not only to longing parents-to-be, but also to children. Children who have had family, then lost them have the desire to replace what they’ve lost. “The benefits of adoption are reciprocal,” says Catherine, a foster and adoption recruiter. Once taking the leap, adoptive parents can’t imagine a life without their adopted children.

There are, of course, challenges, but there are challenges with biological children as well. When committed, an adoptive family becomes a source of strength for each other. Love runs deep, and security abounds.
