Kali was born in Ethiopia and orphaned at a young age when both parents died from AIDS. She and her 2-year-old brother were sent to separate orphanages and Kali was without hope for a long time. Once adopted, she began to hope again. And the hope increased when she told her parents about her little brother, still in Ethiopia and HIV positive. Her heart was filled to overflowing when her parents found her brother and brought him home.
