An electronic health application has been adopted for foster parents to have immediate access to all health needs, medical records and past health history of their foster children. It is hoped that soon this app will provide schooling information as well. It is the Ventura County Human Services Agency that first launched Foster Health Link. Foster parents using the app are thrilled, as it helps cut down on time put in to flipping through charts and other paperwork. The Ventura County Human Services Agency hopes that other agencies will soon follow suit and it can become the norm for foster parents to use smart phones and other mobile devices to access vital information on their foster children.
