Assemblies of God ADOPTION

About

The General Council of the Assemblies of God (or the Assemblies of God) is among the largest Pentecostal denominations in the U.S. with over 67 million members worldwide. There are two classifications of churches within the faith: General Council affiliated churches and District affiliated churches. The boundaries between the districts tend to follow country, state/province, or language lines.

The Assemblies of God operate a humanitarian relief organization (WAGRA), as well as various schools, universities, ministries, and missions in the U.S. and throughout the world.

Beliefs

The core beliefs of the Assemblies of God church begin with the trinity: One God who is revealed in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe the Bible as holy scripture and is inspired by God. The mission of the church is to seek and save all who are lost in sin by helping willing men and women to accept God’s offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His son, Jesus Christ. They believe in committing to serve and edify other believers in the church, and meeting all human needs with ministries of love and compassion.
