Small Church Congregation’s Families Adopt Chinese Orphans

Just three years ago, the Reverend Dennis Mumaw asked his congregation to spread their charity, compassion, and love beyond the borders of their church. And they did. The congregation of 80 families reached out in many ways. Those who wish to adopt have been helped financially by those who don’t feel that call.

In the past three years, four Chinese orphans have been adopted by members of the Indiana congregation. Families are in the process of bringing four more children home. Some who never intended to add to their family are now adopting and making a difference in children’s lives. Others are becoming licensed foster parents to help in their own community.

The Star Journal-Register as reported that this church, which preaches love for all, is showing that love in their deeds.
