News Video: New Mexico Students Collect Teddy Bears for Children in Foster Care

School kids who are members of the Junior Beta Club in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, gathered together to help out children in their community who are in foster care. Knowing that it’s emotionally difficult for children to be taken from their homes and placed with strangers, this leadership group held a drive to collect teddy bears for foster children. Over a period of about two weeks the students collected enough teddy bears to deliver them to the Youth and Families Department this week.

“We chose to do this because we understand they’re going through a rough time in their lives, so we wanted to give help to comfort them,” said one of the students.
