Students Build Bicycles For Children in Foster Care

The non-profit group, Together We Rise, is helping children in foster care as they gather volunteers to build bicycles. The organization works in tandem with other agencies and humanitarian aid groups to take care of local foster children. Just recently, twenty-seven bikes were built for children in Lansing, Michigan.

“Bike building” events are held often, thereby providing a system to build bicycles in an efficient manner. Bikes are built to bring joy and excitement to kids of various ages. Included in recent bike building events were fun movie themes, including a Buzz Light-Year bike.

The need for good homes for foster children is still very great. But groups such as Together We Rise help the kids feel loved.
