Video: Dan and Tamara Struggle to Connect with Their Adoptive Families

Adopted from Romania, Dan spent years in an institution before his adoptive parents found him. It was on St. Patrick’s Day that Daniel’s parents made the move toward adoption. Dan was just 3 years old. But his years in the institution made transition into family life difficult. Years later, Dan searched out his birth family. Life was hard for his birth parents, and reunion was emotionally difficult.

Tamara was a foster child. She learned how to treat others by the negative way she was treated. She became secluded and turned inward. But being given Susan as a foster mother helped her to pull out of herself. She blossomed under Susan’s care.

These are their stories.
