Video: New Law Allows for Mother and Daughter to be Reunited

More than 40 years after placing her baby for adoption in Rhode Island, a birth mother and her daughter reunited.

It took Tamasi years to find her birth mother.  They had both been searching, but state laws made it impossible to find each other.  For over 20 years they had lived very close to each other, but had no idea.  The local news station was on hand to capture the emotional reunion as mother and daughter saw each other for the first time.  The two plan to stay in touch.  They are excited and grateful for the opportunity to know each other and share their lives.
