Video: Student Creates Movie Based on Real Adoption Story

Jennifer Joelle Kachler is the creator of the short film, Kennedy Hill. A student at the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, Jennifer chose a thesis project that would support adoption. Being close to her grandmother who was adopted in 1925, Jennifer always wondered how things could have played out, had her grandmother searched for her birth family. The result of Jennifer’s musings is the short film, Kennedy Hill. Set in the early 1900s, Kennedy Hill is the story of an adoptee who goes in search of her birth family. Jennifer and her cast and crew successfully take us back in time as we watch in anticipation for Grace Hill to find her roots.
