Teens in Foster Care are Looking to be Adopted

WESH 2 News shares the importance and necessity of helping waiting children. The sad fact is that teens in foster care are usually the last to be adopted. Because of horrific early starts to life, they are caught in a difficult situation. For most of them, they are in the foster care system for years. But what they really want is a family. They want love. They desire permanency.

In the foster care world, those who wait the longest to be adopted are older, biracial, have disabilities, or are part of a sibling group. But it doesn’t change the fact that these are all precious individuals — all in need of love.
