Five years after the big earthquake in Haiti that killed about 300,000 people, WZZM 13 ABC in Michigan revisits the adoption of Haitian orphans.
Bethany Global continues to work to get families for Haitian orphans. Since the earthquake destroyed several orphanages, the rest of the orphanages are quite overcrowded. Besides working to getting these orphans adopted internationally, the organization is working with Haitians to place as many children as possible in local homes. Besides adoption, they hope to create and maintain several Haitian foster homes to give these children their best chance in their native country.
