I've got good news and bad news, which do ya want first? I've always been partial to ending with the good, so here goes. The bad news is ML is getting a new job at OK DHS and will not be Tara's SW anymore. I'm sad for Tara because she has known ML for 3 years and I'm upset that this will further delay the ICPC paperwork. ML said she has started the paperwork, but only made is 1/4 of the way through and she will try to complete it, but I think she just said that to get me off her back. A new SW will be assigned to Tara that alread works at DHS, but who knows when they will get things moving and now I don't even have a contact name to bug. ML said she had training for her new position and I'm sure she has other priorities before leaving in the next couple of weeks, so more delay for Tara coming home. I am distressed about it, but also determined to get more things done around the house before she arrives, including getting hubby to hang the ceiling fan in her room :). Who knows when all of this will happen, I'm still wanting to believe she will be here for the Holidays, but it's looking like that might not even happen. Ok, I think you and me both need the good news now. ML told me that Tara was visiting K and A because she had a close relationship with their Granddaughter and ML agreed she could go because Tara made it very clear before that she did not want them to adopt her after they did not see her point of view and all of the pressure tactics from K. So, it all sounds pretty innocent and Tara just really seems to form bonds with other children and adults easily. I'm relieved that it was probably no big deal at all and I hope we get to talk with her tonight to further relieve my anxieties. I jsut want to hear her laugh and chatter on about something and I will feel better again. Then we'll be visiting her again soon and hopefully will have a great time together again. More to come later tonight after we call Tara, just wanted to update what I found out after talking to ML.
