The Wiz! I love the Wiz....."Ease on down, Ease on down the road....don't you carry nothin' that might be a load...ease on down, down the road!" (erase that it has a diva and a pedifile in it for a moment)
Well who isn't carrying somthin' these days. Huh? Yet....Ease on down. That is the theme of this entry.
The week began with a migraine headache and a wreched flu bug that ATE ME! Seriously, I thought I was going to DIE! I called HMG...when I was laying on the couch, wanting to throw up, keil over and die! He came, in totally HMG fashion, and opened all the windows, brought many ailment remedies, took Aria off of the table she was precariously balancing herself upon, accident looming in her future, put two half gallons of her soy milk in the fridge, smiled wide with blue eyes, wisked my dog off and left Aria and I staring into the trail of his dust.
I still thought I was about to die, but with the house clean and aired out, Aria on the ground again, I was chiding that being sick and being single AND A PARENT, SUCKED, but at least his breezy blow through the house made all well again in total Dr. Suess fashion.
When I was finally well, my mom goes into the hospital for surgery. On her road to recovery, she waits for a nurse to help her to the bathroom, decides she is going to do it herself, pee pees the floor slips on it and brakes her fall with her face. Braking her face and a finger. So now my mom lays in a hospital bed looking like an alien from Star Trek or a prize fighter, not sure which...and Aria and I (me, just barely recovered from alien attack 2007) head down the the OC yet again (Orange County for those like me who don't watch TV) to sit with my mom in the hospital, cause her new rearranged face, caused a full mental meltdown. My sister is on a plane for an "around the world tour". So Aria and I will be the main attraction until my mom can get her wits about her again. POOR WOMAN!!!!!!!!! God she was just starting to get better and now this.
So Aria and I are staying in a hotel. Boy is Ari loving this, she has already run up and down, up and down the room giggling her brains out. When she was at the hospital she lifted my mom's spirits by screaming "MA MA" at the top of her lungs and throwing her arms wide to embrace her. Not to mention she blew many "Muah" kisses to her and her roomate who is battling Leukema. By the time we left both women where in stitches laughing and we promised to return for a repeat performance tomorrow.
So in our room Ari and I ordred pizza, sat on the extra queen sized bed and giggled as she picked all the cool stuff off the pizza and ate it. I didn't care, we had a whole medium pizza to ourselves, pick away girl, I am never gonna be able to eat all that. It was the smallest they would deliver and we were famished both of us. However, when Aria was done picking random tomatoes and olives off our HUGE pizza, she raised her bottle and said "Teers" and "chinked" glasses with my wine, took a big gulp of soy milk, leaned in and planted a HUGE kiss on my lips, then smiled.
She is having the time of her life! Don't tell her but after we visit the real heated pool tomorrow (a lifetime favorite of hers) and see mama a few times, we are gonna go to Disneyland.
So in the face of sadness, massive writing deadlines and a mom who looks like prize fighter, we have found time for random picking of pizza, a hotel room (with it's obvious greatness!) and Disneyland.....so Ease on Down.....Ease on down the road......ok :-)
Life will get better...all.....it has to!

Hope all is well with your mom. How was Disneyland? I heard from a friend that went this weekend too that the crowds & lines weren't bad at all! How did Aria do? Disneyland through the eyes of a child is AMAZING!!! We have the passes & go often & I don't get tired of it!! Also looking forward ...
