As one of the of the most respected NFL Head Coaches of his time, this man has lived his life prioritizing the three F’s: Faith, Family, and Football. The Orlando Sentinel highlighted pro-football hall of famer Tony Dungy and his wife of 36 years, Lauren, in an effort to discuss his life off the field and his less-advertised successes off the field.

Tony and his wife have ten children, seven of whom they adopted. Family and children being of obvious importance in their life, Tony has devoted much of his time off the field to the neediest children. In his latest venture, Tony, along with his wife wrote their second set of children’s books. The two books in this set are titled, Austin Plays Fair and Maria Finds Courage.

Tony and Lauren have decades worth of experience with children and foster care. While Tony is most well-known for his Super Bowl win and impressive football-related accomplishments, his family knows him as an incredible father with a heart for all children.

The books Tony and Lauren have written were designed to be for all children, regardless of their background. They realized there was a lack of diversity present in children’s books and sought to change that with their own venture into the genre.

In the segment Coffee With George, George Diaz of the Orlando Sentinel had a chance to sit down with the Dungys to discuss everything from their new book set to their future as foster parents. The interview is quite telling of their impact on children and the pride they take in doing their part as part of Florida’s foster care system.
