Fighting for the rights of foster children, CASA volunteers really make a difference. So many foster children feel hopeless and without a voice. But court appointed special advocates not only give a voice to kids who are in foster care, they develop strong and meaningful relationships with them, too. Often the relationship follows the youth on into adulthood.
Such is the case with Kayana Bradley. She is 18 years old and is now a freshman at the University of New Orleans. She is hoping to become a physician. She attributes much of her confidence and ability to move toward a successful future to Caitlin, her CASA volunteer.
