Michael S. Goldstein, Esq., LCSW, is an Attorney, New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and adoptive father of three.

Michael is one of only three attorneys in the United States approved by the Department of State to provide HAGUE international adoption services. During the past 34+ years, Michael has been involved with over 3,000 successful adoptions, which include domestic, agency, incoming and outgoing international, readoption, single parent, two parent, second parent, and foster care adoptions. His representation has assisted clients to be successful in adopting within the United States and other countries through advertising, word-of-mouth, internet, social media, and contacts with the American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys - a nationally recognized group of adoption attorneys, as well as with many adoption agencies. Michael, along with his wife Joy S. Goldstein, LCSW, ACSW, co-founded “Forever Families Through Adoption, Inc.,” (FFTA) an adoption placement agency and resource center, licensed in New York and Connecticut, and Hague Accredited for incoming and outgoing adoptions. In 2011 Michael, looking to give back to the community, established the Foster Teen Employment Network, Inc. (FTEN) for foster teens “aging out” of the foster care system. FTEN’s mission is to have foster teens leaving the system educated, employable, able to live independently, and with the socials skills necessary to lead productive lives.
