“I am not afraid to grieve. I am afraid of what would happen to these children if no one took the risk to love them,” quotes foster mother, Marcia Crooms, to herself often. Yes, it’s hard to love and then say good-bye.

But knowing the great need for loves that foster children have, she’s happy to take the risk.  The Crooms family was recently awarded the Life Management Center Foster Family of the Year for 2016. The Crooms family recently accepted a sibling group of five—all five had been in separate foster homes before they joined together in the Crooms home. Marcia Crooms is also a mentor to help new foster parents navigate the road of being caregivers.
