The First Letter from my Birth Mother

“I felt adoption was right the moment I heard the word 'abortion'.”

Denalee Chapman November 22, 2014

“I will never forget the moment I chose to give you life … or the moment I chose to place you in another mother’s arms,” this unselfish birth mother said, in letter, to her daughter.  And then, “I felt adoption was right the moment I heard the word abortion.”

This mother’s letter to her daughter is a sermon on love. This video ends with tender photos of birth mother and daughter’s reunification.

The rest of the story would include the adoptive parents . . . with them encouraging and supporting their daughter in seeking out her birth mother.  For surely, there is unselfishness all around in any adoption.  And certainly, love just oozes from birth mother, daughter, and adoptive parents.
