In this video a sibling group of five talk about their foster care experience and being adopted from foster care. The oldest, having acted as a mother to the others while in their birth home, had a hard time living in foster care when they were separated. To this sweet family, foster care was scary. It was lonely. And life was sad.
Then these siblings found a forever home. It was a process – it didn’t happen all at once. But when Cindy and Joe took all five siblings into their home, it had a great impact on the children. And now, not only are the children in a loving family, but they want to go on to become foster parents themselves. They know what it’s like to have a hard life, and they want to bring joy to children who find themselves in a situation similar to what they have been through.
