I am in search of my birth family. I dont have much ino but this is what i got.
My papers are from North Carolina Department Of Health & Human Services. I was born on July 20,1953. The couple that adopted ne where named Edna Chapman and Clyde Smith of Dallas, Nc.If info is correct. My birth mother was 20 at the time of my birth so i figure she was born in 1933 and would now be 70 yrs. old now. My birth father was 27 at time of my birth which puts him being born in 1926.
The info on papers of my mother are.. 20 yrs old 5'4 115 lbs Caucasian female with blue eyes, brown hair. She liked to crochet, and do embroidery and sew. The last grade she completed was 9th. Her favorite subjects were History and Spelling. Talents were playing piano and draws. Her religious preferance was Baptist. Her occupation was Spead Maker,Housekeeper. There was also a daughter born in 1950. Her reasons for adoption was, Planning to marry someone else who is unaware of the pregnancy & adoption. The relationship of mother and father of the child was, Hoped to marry him but he wouldnt accept her daughter. There was 2 grandparents that died in their 80's and 90's due to stroke. And the biological grandfather had low blood pressure. I was a single birth child and carried 41 weeks. It does say that mothers RH factor was positive. As for the info on the papers on father, He was 27 brown(dark) hair blue eyes, He was 6' 162 lbs.his complexion was medium. He liked Baseball. special talents were playing guitar and singing. His occupation was Textiles, timber. He was divorced and was not involved with birth mother during pregnancy. Birth parents were Dating so it says in his profile of these papers iI have. Birth mother thinks birth father was a only child and knew nothing about his father so the papers say. This is everything that I have. I have done the math and the sister of mine should have been done with school in 1967. I was raised by couple with the last name of Smith. Mr and Mrs Clyde Smith. There is one living family memeber left who refuses to tell me anything about what happened or anything back then Says she sword she would take this secret to her grave has she promised. My sister would or should be around 53 now and my birth mother to be 70 and my birth father should be around 77 now. I grew up in the Dallas Nc area all my life. My adopted mother and father have past away and i never got any info from them cause i didnt want to hurt them. I have been searching now for many yrs and hopefully this will help me find a way or clue or my FAMILY!! I have 3 children of my own and my olderest daughter has 6 kids and me not knowing anything of medical or family history or anything really gets to her and she pushes me and helps me to find what i can for all of us. If anyone who reads this knows of someone in this time framer or is the ppl in this time frame PLZ PLZ contact me!!!!!
Your information on your birth history is so similar to mine. I was adopted by the Ratchfords when I was 2 years old in Gaston County. My dob is 5/29/50, and I was raised in Dallas, NC. I graduated from Dallas High in 1968. I'm also 5'4", brown hair,
love crocheting, and studied piano. Could we be searching for the same woman? This IS coincidence. Please reply. Good luck in your search.

Just a shot in the dark: are you still looking for your bio-sis? I hadn't heard back from you......our cases are so similar. I was born in 1950, and was in foster care till I was adopted at 2 years old. My adoptive parents (father deceased now) knew Clyde Smith, but my adoptive mother didn't know them well. Could we have possibly passed in the hallway at high school, you a Freshman, and I would have been a senior at Dallas High? Hope to hear from you. Take care, and have a Blessed day.
Still hoping to hear from txbutterfly, or my son. The information was so similar, and seemed to be so real. If anyone knows of txbutterfly who used to post in here, please let me hear from you. Thanks, and God Bless.:hippie:
Just hoping to hear from you, txbutterfly. I'm still searching for my son and my bio mother. Could you be my bio sister? It's been a few years since you posted and I replied, but still haven't gotten answers. Hope you're doing well and succeed in your search. Please reply if you see this after 7 years of searching. I know it can be exasperating. God bless. Jeanne
