:) Last night I stayed up until 4 am looking over all my papers from my adoption and I found a site that had a article from the sunday tribune magazine dated july 2, 1950 and it listed 4 homes for unwed mother in downtown Kansas city, mo and the florence crittenton home was one of them that was listed. It did say that the women who came to the crittenton home were girls that couldnt afford to pay much for stay at a home were usually referred to the crittenton home. I also was born in 1954 and I have a copy of my social history that was whited out because of Mo law sealed records. I do know that I was born at the old general hospital by the address on the birth certifcate. Hope this is some help to you.
