searching for brother

I am searching for my brother. I only found out about him a short time ago. I have no idea how to go about finding him. Can someone please give me a starting point. This is very important to me. He would have been born in Nashville TN in 1953. I have a little more information but not much. Where and how do I begin??? Desperate in TN:confused:
