Hey there. Hoping this will be more than a longshot, but I thought I'd give it a try. I don't know anything about either of my birth parents, but I'm a half-cree male, born April 27th, 1978 in Lloydminster Sask. I was adopted in Edmonton Alberta, three weeks later. I know my birth mother was white, of Norwegian and Irish descent, and my birth father was full Cree. Anyway, here's to hoping! Thanks!

Hi,
do you know your birth surname?
and were you given other information as well such as information about your mothers siblings and her parents etc?
This type of information is what is known as "non-identifying information" and is received from the Post Adoption Office of the Province you were born in.
If you haven't already, you might wish to apply with them, to not only register yourself with their offices but to also obtain more information that is available to you.
If you do already have all the information, your birth surname etc......that is the best way to start your search, researching the name and go from there.
If you need any more assistance feel free to ask,
~Shannon
