Dear Roberta:
I am no search expert, but there are a few things I know. First is that you, since you were not adopted, only need to look in the phone directories. There are many search engines on the web to help you do that. This is-grant it-very time consuming to say the least. If you have last known address-which the agency that placed you with foster care should have on record. After that, if you have this info, I'm not sure how I'd go about it. Do you know what state she lived/lives in? Any bit of info would be where I would start. I would use the internet to the fullest. If you have info and don't know how to search the web-contact me and I will try to help. Otherwise, there are a few names I can give :
ttwendyg@yahoo.com or nblueeyet@aol.com or Janet Fenn: CUBirthparents.org or ICARE or go to chat in adoption forums and hook up with jdmizell1. She is helping me find my son. She might be able to give you direction or find your mom. There are a lot of avenues for you to try. Pick one and see where it leads. I hope I was a little bit of help. Let me know if I can do anymore.
