I believe I have found my niece, but she doesn't want to make contact. I sent a note, and said I thought that I was her aunt, and included my phone number, email, and mailing address. I told her I had no ulterior motives and I wouldn't try to contact her again. Then I left it up to her. So far...no word. I told her I found her name by searching public records on line.No telling what she thinks. She may think I am some kind of shyster out to cause her problems, and I have no intention of doing that. I just wanted to offer the info I have on the family, incase she was curious. There is no one in the family that would try to contact her or cause her any problems. She only has one brother, and he lives in California, and he is doing fine. He would like to be in touch with her, but only ifit is something she would want. I think due to the circumstances of her birth, she may think she is from somewhere else, other than the immediate area. Actually, by a twist of fate, she is now living in the town that she was born in!

I am the Carolyn Kaye Cunningham that you contacted by mail several years ago. I do not think that you are a shyster but I do not think that I am your niece. I am confident that both of my parents were my biological parents and I have pictures that were taken with family members before Christmas 1949. Recently I have been doing geneaology research on my family ancestry and I have found that there are numerous other Carolyn K Cunninghams that were born in Houston on 12/17/49. Would you mind sharing what documents that you have found that made you think I was your niece? I sincerely hope that you find her, if you have not already.
