Hi - we are foster parents of four South Sudanese teens (aka "Lost Boys"). They graduate HS this year and we will be empty nesters. We would like to adopt other Sudanese who are languishing in the refugee camps. In particular, the kids we want to bring are relatives of the kids we've already been raising. They cannot be brought in as "family members" under UN refugee rules because that is only limited to parents and spouses. An orphan kid who comes to the US cannot later bring in his or her orphaned siblings.
Does anyone know how one would go about adopting a refugee kid, an orphan, esp. one with siblings or cousins in the U.S.? Or have any leads? Thank you very much.
