I have seen people mention on other posts about registries, soundex, and etc. I have no clue about any of this. I am trying to find my sister that was given up for adoption, but only if she is looking for us also. I feel if she isn't looking for us then she is happy and satisfied with her life and I dont want to interupt that. Can anyone give me any help as to where I can look or places she is likely to list herself on,if she is looking. I got the link to this site from a friend who has been helping me, but I can't find much else. Any help is appreciated and Thank you in advance.

Sign up at http://www.isrr.net it is a free international registry, the largest in the US. They take donations. This is a must any any adoption search, be it, birthparents, adoptees etc

Find all registries online that you can find and post your information. Keep a little of the non-id to yourself as there are scammers out there.
Go to yahoo message boards; there are wonderful searchers on them. the registry; adoptioncafe; and adoptionlatte are the best

Dear KK,I'm an adoptee in MO searching for my birth family. I believe my mother's name is Nancy Bywater. I would love to find out that I have a sister. However, If I'm not the one you are searching for, there are many free sites available for you to post on as well as registering on the official website for missouri...the best way I found was to do a search on yahoo! My prayers are with you and your family, good luck on your search!Sincerely,Kathy Wissman
