Hmmm, I am not sure how to BE SURE without the records. Unless you go for a DNA test but that is $$$. Perhaps your aparents/ or your child's aparents (sorry I am not sure which side you are on) have some records? How about swapping pics and hopefully meeting face to face. After I met my bmom, I wouldn't have needed the records.....we look VERY similar. Just a thought. I hope someone else here can be more help! Maybe post what state you're from - lots of search angels on here who have wonderous ways of getting their hands on info!

Sounds like this is your child! Good luck in your reunion. As for the angels, there are people on this site that can help people find people - or in your case, confirm that you have the right person. I am sorry I am not one of these people BUT what I can advise you to do is - post on the sites specific to which state your child was born in. You will have to search the forum for where they are. For example, this is the Communication between bpartens and adoptee forum. Angles who search will be keyed for a state they have access to. It's a long shot but you just never know who may be able to help!
