So I have a basement bachelor suite. It has a kitchenette, bathroom, etc. I was thinking about foster older teens that are soon to age out, and helping them transition into adulthood. I still plan to parent them, have them check in, have family dinners, help with school work, etc. Like be a foster parent in that respect, but also use the suite as a way to help transition them into adulthood, so they arent a babe in the woods at 18, so to speak. We dont have post secondary, but I could help with online programs, and there are a number of industries around here to get involved with. My plan is to help them get on their feet, so they can support themselves. Is this realistic? Do you forsee any problems? What could I add to this plan to make it better?
