Hello, I am trying to find my birth mother. All I know is i was adopted through Volunteer of America in Shreveport Lousiana. I was born on Christmas day December 25, 1971 in Shreveport Lousiana. I am a fair complected male with reddish blond hair and blue eyes. My adopted mother has said she adopted me when I was six weeks old and they named me Tommy Keith Baldree. If anyone has ANY information that may help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Keith... As a B-mother, I wish you nothing but best in your search for your birthfamily. I wish I could provide the info you're looking for, but I can't. Due to state laws, VOA cannot provide you with any identifying info, regardless of your B-Parents wishes. (I learned that the hard way.) Unless La finally decides to open up adoptees original birth records, your only recourse is to register thru the state registry. If you haven't already contacted VOA directly, I would encourage you to do so. Be sure to ask them for any and ALL files related to your birth and AP applications/info. I wish you well in your search.
