I am going to adopt from Ethiopia and am very interested in adopting an older child. I am wondering what kind of language issues I should expect? Any advice would be appreciated....Thanks.-Kat

Someone who has adopted an older child can give you a better idea, but my understanding is that may school age children know at least a little English as it is the 2nd national language and many are taught some in school. Also I believe all the agencies have teachers who come in to teach the school-age kids English. Some start at the age of 3 teaching the kids in the foster care centers.
