Does anyone in NJ have plans to celebrate adoption awareness month? I am a new foster parent of three and LOVING IT! But our ultimate goal is to adopt filling our home with children and creativing a wonderfully positive home environment for all children. My foster children aren't for adoption, but we are deeply committed to being here for them forever.
Funny you should ask!
I am a librarian at the Princeton Public Library and I am coordinating a special Saturday morning story time on November 18th for National Adoption Awareness month. It will begin at 10:30 am and include a craft and a snack.
The details are here on page 14 of the library's flyer:

I will be reading a story as will another librarian from North Jersey who has a daughter from China and is in process to adopt again.
I am looking for one or two others to volunteer to read a story as well...
I did an event like this last year and it was quite successful. I will also do a booklist, book display, etc. in the library as I have for the last several years.
Spread the word... and hope to see you there.
