In the spirit of Valentines Day, who was your big "heart throb" when you were young? Movie stars, singers, sports figures, all are fair game. And no laughing at other people's choices! LOL
I had the biggest crush on Cary Grant. I was devastated when he died - I had no idea he was "old." LOL I only knew that I was totally in love with him in "I Was a Male War Bride" and "An Affair to Remember" and "To Catch a Thief" and pretty much everything else I could find him in. I was probably the only girl in school who didn't have pictures of her crush hanging in her locker - Teen Beat wasn't exactly putting out Cary Grant centerfolds! LOL
I came upon this thread today,, and thought how funny that I recently found my 8th grade year book,, that list alot of questions about yourself for future readings,, One question was what Actor/Actress do you have a crush on ,, and I wrote Robert Redford,, 8th grade was 1982 for me,, I tell you I cannot remember anything he may have starred in at that time....

Plato, Dana Michelle, 1964-1999
American actress
Dana Platos was the stereotypical life of a child star who couldnҒt make the transition to adult acting. She was the second child of a young unmarried birthmother who relinquished her for adoption as a baby. She was adopted by the Plato family of southern California in June 1965. After a large number of television commercials she was cast as Kimberley Drummond in the NBC (later ABC) situation comedy Diffrent Strokes in 1978. In 1984 she was fired from the series because of her pregnancy, and from then on her career and personal life spiraled continuously downhill. Her mother died in 1988 and her husband left her at the same time, winning custody of their son. In failed attempts to restart her career she posed nude for a 1989 issue of Playboy and made several B-grade and soft-core pornographic movies. In 1992 she was arrested for the armed robbery of a video store and also for forging a Valium prescription, and her drug problem eventually led to suicide by an overdose in 1999. In 1998 she came out in the lesbian magazine, Girlfriends, but later claimed it had simply been an experimental phase.
