That depends so much on the personalities involved, including the personality of the adoptee. If the adoptee finds it makes him/her feel more loved, supported and not torn between the two, and the amom and bmom get along, then it's great.
If it causes stress on any of the 3, then perhaps it's just as well to keep it on the level of polite acquaintances.

I guess you are right. My daughter does not want her bmom and me to be friends. I thought I would ask the question on this site. I would really like to spend some time with the bmom and let her know how much she has given to me by allowing me to parent her daughter. Well, I will let my daughter lead the way. Thanks
I am a bmom and would love to meet my daughter's mom but my daughter doesn't think it would be welcome as amom feels threatened that dd found me. I have heard only good things about this woman and would like to reasure her. Besides I am curious.
