I'm reading this in early November but we are just waiting to sign the finally completed homestudy & are awaiting our placement. Looking for an older sibling group through PA foster care but after going to conferences & doing lots of reading, sounds like we may be better off with one in the beginning. Hubby & I are in our late 40s. Any thoughts?
Keep your options open- we were also looking for older children through the PA foster system- told our worker we didn't want car seats or diapers! Well- guess what?- we were placed with a one year old and a 2 1/2 year old, a year and a half ago! So, at 52, we're changing diapers again and enjoying the boys more than we could have ever imagined. They are starting termination of rights now and the boys will be ours forever! Maybe next time we'll get some older siblings- I guess you never know what the future holds!!

Michele81- Congrats on your completed homestudy. We will be starting our classes soon. I can't wait. We are asking for 0-7 boy or girl. We will also be signing up with an infant agency as well. I would love to do a sibling group. I don't think I could convince Hubby. We already have three kids so this is our last one. MAYBE!!!! LOL.
We have paperwork in and will be attending 3rd class as a make up class. We are reading and talking. We are hearing horror stories about the process (never mind the kids) that make Saw II look tame. So far we are relying on each other and our agency contacts for sanity. We theorize that a good outlook and good agency are important.
