My husband was born in CA. His birth mother was married to someone other than his birth father, and separated at the time of my husband's conception. There were two older half brothers between the birth mother and her husband (we believe they were married in Illinois or Michigan). We have ruled out the two brothers being born in California, so we searched for men of the right age as the brother's but not born in California. We think we have found some info. We found a man that was married in California, listed as living with his parents. The places they lived are listed as California, Illinois and Texas (all of these states are mentioned in the non id info). We are hoping someone can do a local search for us in Michigan to see if they were married in Michigan. Their names are Milton Stephen King and Sally E. We don't know know Sally's maiden name. They were probably married sometime between 1956 and 1959. The oldest son was born between 1958 and 1959. Sally was born April 10, 1941 and if she is the right person, only finished the 9th grade, and born in Michigan. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated, traveling to Michigan is not an option for us at the moment.

UPDATE: We got confirmation today that Lawrence Dale Stahl WAS my husband's birth father. He passed away in 2006. We were able to track down his ex wife, and he had told her about my husband!! She also gave us the birth mothers name - Linda King!! Now I am looking for ANY info I can find on her. We know that she was born in Michigan, was 22 in 1964 (making her born 1941 or 1942). Her mother was living in Illinois in 1964. She was married with two boys - one was 5 and one was 3 in 1964. Linda was adopted by her step father when she was a young child, her maiden name was listed as Jones, but we don't know if that is her fathers name or her step fathers. She also had stated to the adoption agency that her father was part Chippewa Indian. If this means anything to anyone, please contact us.
