Awww, Thank you SOOO much! I do still check these forums everyday; however I was home sick in bed the last couple of days before the party last week so I just now saw your message. How did your party go? I went to ours, it did not go smoothly at all. The place was cramped and there were too many people there. It was hard to tell who the hopeful adoptive children and the children of the hopeful adoptive parents were. We did receive a book with about 100 kids in it so we went thru and found 3 sib groups we were interested in. We only saw one of the groups there, but since I was still sick we just "observed". We only stayed about an hour or so then left. We did go ahead and submit on all three groups that we were interested in, so if we are chosen for any of them we should hear something in about 8 weeks. (It seems like an eternity lol) Hope you had a great weekend, thanks for thinking about me!

Our party was OK. We knew we'd feel kind of like an odd-couple-out because we didn't have kids. But we met some people and there were other couples there without kids. Overall, we had a good time. We just wish things would move along a little faster. Still waiting on paperwork. The first adoption party we went to was cramped and crowded, too, but the second was better. A friend of mine said she had friends who felt so uncomfortable at the first party they went to, but they found their children at the second. The fact that you want to adopt an older sibling group has to be a positive. Here's hoping you guys hear something soon.

Yeah, I hope we hear something soon too, but I'm not going to stress over it. Things will happen when they are supposed to (although I would love to light a fire under it lol). I'm sorry your paperwork process is taking so long :( I sure hope it picks up soon, and that before you know it you will be on a plane. I'm glad you had a good time at the party, at least it gave you a chance to socialize with other hopeful adoptive and already adoptive parents.
