Hello,
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there, that is just starting the process or still in the beginning stages?
I am in Ontario, and would like some info regarding the homestudy process and what is required.
Thanks

I'm in Alberta and adopted domestically so I'm so not a whole lot of help but wanted to say "hi!"
Have you checked out this related to adopting internationally from Canada? I also found it helpful, at least here in Alberta, to contact CAS to get some initial information. And here's a site specifically for Ontario. I don't know if that helps at all. Good luck on your journey!!!

Also be aware that you must travel to China to adopt (and are sometimes required to stay for a certain amount of time - weeks or even months) There's an article on Travel Insurance - TravelInsurance.com that has a bunch of good info on this as well. Hope that helps and good luck to you! :grouphug:
Hi -
I've done a lot of research on adopting internationally and am also a resident of Ontario. All families wishing to adopt in Ontario (domestically or internationally) must have a homestudy completed by an approved and licensed adoption practitioner in Ontario. You must also complete P.R.I.D.E. which is an adoption education program.
There are many steps involved in the international adoption process. You can read more here: www.adoptiveparents.ca
Best of luck!
