:hissy: We are an African-American couple. We just received approval of our Home Study. Now the waiting begins - waiting to find a child, waiting to be selected for that child, waiting to meet the child, etc. I need advice on how to handle all of this waiting. The stress is getting to me. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Well congrats to getting this far. It can be a pain all the waiting. If this will be your first child1. Enjoy each others company.2. Read up on adoption information.3. Get together with your friends and discuss regular stuff. 4. enjoy your hobbies.I did this, but I did my best to not get too wrapped up in this part, but I like to decorate. 5. dream abut your nursery/childs room. 6. start checking out stuff that you may need. 7. I found online folks who helped me with a lot of information, they also understood what friends, and family IRL did not regarding the differences, and emotions while going down the adoption road. Best wishes

i think it will go quickly...... just do as the above post suggests, and do enjoy eachothers company...and peace and quiet.....because that wee one that is meant to be in your family will add chaos, love and noise!!:hissy:
i pray for swiftness in the process..... you have gotten over the worst part...the homestudy...now just take the time to imagine life..... with a baby!!!!
