The home study is finished. DH picked up the pictures for our profile this afternoon and we're waiting on the profiles themselves to come back from the printer. Its been a world wind and we haven't even gotten started on the hardest part...waiting to get picked.
After the home study was approved I was ready to go out and buy baby clothes. My mother steadied my hand and told me to at least let them show our profile first.
What do you think? Is it time to start stocking up on diapers?
For me, I went ahead and purchased basic stuff---but only a few things. I'm a great one to shop at second-hand shops, which helped immensely. But, I made sure I didn't overdo it, KWIM?
It's so very hard to wait; and sooo easy to have that urge to buy any/everything---BABY! But, believe me, if you'll hold back on the big things, WHEN that baby DOES come, the feelings of buying things for YOUR baby---at last, are, as the commercial says, 'PRICELESS"! (And a lot more 'over the top' than Christmas!!!!! )
Good luck for a short wait. :)
Sincerely,
Linny

We went shopping. I just kept thinking...if we get a call saying a baby was born last night...I was feeling naked with no supplies. So I bought things I knew I'd need in a pinch, blanket, onesies, bottle, etc. My DH really wanted to make sure what had a thermometer :). Parenting with him is going to be a blast. Any other suggestions for what you really have to have on your first night alone?
