Hi Everyone, i just want to share some information that might help you in you search. If you were adopted through Catholic Charities in Kansas City, there is someone that may be able to help you in your search. Laura Long. She is a search specialist. She is a employee of Catholic Charities and that is all that she does. I spoke with her yesterday and she told me that the adoptee has to initiate the search and then she will use all of her resources to help locate the birth parents. She also said that if the birth parents contact her they can leave there contact information with her and they she will put it in the adoption file, so if adoptee calls to find birth parents, the info is there and it makes the process faster and more convient. So i hope this information helps someone.
