I need some help in thinking of tattoo designs. I want to get a tattoo that represents the adoption of our DS. I found one idea. Does anyone else have any other ideas besides the one below or a Quetzal?
Thanks,
Lisa

I just got a tat of Queztalcoatl which is a Maya god (the feathered serpent). Beautiful color and a little more fierce than a Quetzal. I'm not really a girly girl so I prefered that one. Once it heals up I'll post a pic.
My husband has our Mayan birth symbols across his back for each of us: me, him, and Connor. Now he'll have to add Cristian's!!
I'm sorry I don't have a pic here at work tho

I am getting a portrait of our DD on my back left shoulder. I am waiting to hear back from LA Ink. I sent in a request for Kat VonD to do my tatt. She is awesome!
I am popping in from the Russian Board... I really want to get a nesting doll tattoo ( symbolizes motherhood) with the boys' names and "Forever Your Mother" in cryllic letters.

Does anyone have a website to convert DS Birthdate into Mayan Symbols?
Try this Maya calendar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and scroll down to the part of the Tzolk'in, 1 of their calendars. It will show you the symbols. For converting a birthdate-I don't know of a site that does it automatically, but this one walks you thru how to find your 'sacred birth day' Maya Time Converter for Kiche Count

My husband and I both got our sons birth sign which is a bull in between our shoulder blades.
My husband has a Peruvian Tuma half sleeve. In the snakes on each side he had both boys names tattood in Mayan lettering. It is really beautiful.

Ok, I'm jealous! I really want a quetzal tattoo and if I ever get brave enough to get it...I thought about making a trip to to southern CA for it (I'm in northern CA) just so I could go to her. Hope you post it when it's done!
I thought she didn't like doing color tatts?

DH got ds name in tribal writing around his arm. It's really awesome because if you are looking straight at it you can read it and dh can read it looking down on it (you can read it rightside up and upside down).
I got his name and birthdate on my left shoulder along with the Guat flag in the background.
This is cool, I am seriously considering a tatoo as well to symbolize my daughter. I'm really chicken though, I don't have any. I looked at the quetzal, but didn't think it had enough color. Does anyone know if there is an adoption symbol out there????
