Hello all. I've been lurking for awhile but needed to vent some of my anxiety LOL. DH and I have planned to adopt for several years, but had to wait for some circumstances to work themselves out. We finished PATH classes in August 07 and were approved as a foster or adoptive home in Nov 07. We've had several "false starts" and disappointments.
Tomorrow we are going to a staff meeting to go over our (possible? maybe?) new son and daughter's case and arrange for their move into our home. An adoption placement worker actually came by today (instead of our usual caseworker) to do our monthly checkup and she knows the kids. She said she thought they wanted to move the kids tomorrow. This kind of surprised me because I thought we were going to try for an overnight and see how that went.
In any case I am a jangled mess of nervous energy.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome Wumbly! Good luck and keep us posted. This is a great place to ask questions and get advice.
Wow, that sounds like things are moving really fast. I had horrible nerves even after placement! I hope yours settles really fast.
Best wishes!!
One thing I've learned from being on these forums is that even though there is supposed to be a step by step method for foster or adoption, it rarely works out that way! I don't think anybody knows why.
Good luck with everything. Keep us posted on how things go.
