Tiny holes in upper ears

Is it on the top outside of the ear?. Does it look like a earpeirce hole? If so, my brother has these. They really bothered him. This is gross but he said he would squeeze them and stinky stuff would come out. It bothered him and bothered him. he finally as an older adult tried to have surgery to have them taken out. The doctors said it wasn't needed but they tried anyways. Well it ended up being some kind of tubular thing that went way deeper than they thought. They did not get it all out, and he gave up. Nothing to worry about though. I have seen them on a few of my customers, ask them about them. They didn't have a care about them. So if this is what they are I wouldn't worry, and I probably wouldn't have them taken out if the doctore suggest not to.
